David has a big God, who he is not afraid to fight for, to take decisive action, and God delivers him. God delivers us from our fears – let’s not rest on our laurels but ask God to help us stick with this fight on behalf of the kingdom of light. We shine, not pelting stones but we shine forgiveness!

As God’s heart is grieved over what’s happened with his choice of Saul he pivots and choosed David to be annointed as king. A man after God’s own heart. And God sees our hearts. And we can be men and women after God’s own heart, filled with his Spirit, as David was.
